Marina: There is a considerable amount of leaching of biocides from anti fouling paint located on most if not all boats. The paints contain copper which affects non-targeted organisms. There is a high amount of copper that was tested in these waters and would affect the local population
Ocean acidification: It contains ongoing declines in pH and plays a role of a carbonation overdose state that poses a particular threat to organisms which synthesizes or breaks down calcium carbonate shells and skeletons, which are vulnerable to dissolution in acidified waters.
Red Tide: A red tide is an algal bloom caused by fertilizer run off. The chemicals cause the algae to reproduce at rapid rates causing the water to turn a tint of red. The bloom harms the ecosystem by depleting the oxygen and releasing a toxin that is deadly to other organisms.
